The board meets every two to three months to discuss nuclear industry issues and prepare future projects. Following these tripartite meetings, decisions are taken to implement actions in favor of the French nuclear industry. These meetings allow all the members to meet in order to deal with short-term issues and to establish the nuclear industry's medium and long-term strategy.
The president of the CSFN is Xavier Ursat. A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Télécom Paris, Xavier Ursat has been Group Executive Director in charge of Engineering and New Nuclear Projects since March 2015. President of the Groupement des Industriels Français de l'Energie Nucléaire (GIFEN), he is also Chairman of Edvance’s Supervisory and Guidance Committee and member of the Framatome Supervisory Board. He is also the outgoing President of the Société Française d'Energie Nucléaire (Sfen).
The CSFN’s permanent delegate is Hervé Maillart. Hervé Maillart, a mechanical engineer, has been Director of Nuclear Coordination since 2018. To carry out its actions, the CSFN relies on specific working groups. These working groups are created to reflect on the specific needs of the sector and make proposals that are then discussed by the members of the CSFN board. The last working groups dealt with the subjects of the reliability of skills and the attractiveness of the sector.
